Teen jailed for filmed speeding
7.01, Tue Jul 10 2007

A teenager who filmed himself doing 120 miles an hour in his father's sports car has been jailed for four months.

Nathan Campbell's dangerous stunt took place on the M65 in Lancashire and was first spotted by an off-duty policeman.

A video of the incident then surfaced on the internet site YouTube.

Campbell's case is far from unique with other speeding videos appearing on the internet.

In some examples there are people seemingly racing along the motorway swerving between other vehicles. There are even motorcyclists who have mounted cameras on their bikes.

Such videos will undoubtedly raise the question of whether such websites encourage these acts that could so easily end in tragedy.
