Lohan denies drugs claims
5.28, Thu Jul 26 2007

Lindsay Lohan has spoken out over her recent arrest, insisting she's innocent.

The Mean Girls actress was booked after police pulled her over after a car chase involving the mum of her aide who'd recently quit.

She was taken into custody after failing a field sobriety test while cocaine was found on her during a subsequent search, according to police.

But Lindsay said: "I'm innocent... I did not do drugs, they're not mine. I was almost hit by my assistant Tarin's mom. I appreciate everyone giving me my privacy."

The 21-year-old was charged with driving under the influence, driving on a suspended licence and possessing cocaine.

She is due in court next month for an earlier charge of driving under the influence in January.
