Lohan's movie gets slated

Some people may say that Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan has had a hard time lately, what with being arrested and spending time in rehab. But not everyone is so sympathetic. The actress has been slated by US critics for her role in new thriller flick I Know Who Killed Me. One stinging critic said: "Who could've predicted a bust for alleged cocaine possession and a general display of young Hollywood stupidity would be the career highlight of Lohan's weekend". In the troubled star's latest movie Lindsay plays two characters - a well-behaved schoolgirl and a pole dancing victim of a serial killer who likes to amputate his prey. The opening of the film followed Lindsay's arrest for drink driving and comes just two weeks after she completed a six-week spell in rehab. But of course this is Hollywood we're talking about and producers of the film were hoping that the publicity, albeit negative, would drive people to check out Lohan's on-screen behaviour instead. Unfortunately critics have been just as scathing of the film as they have about Lindsay's social life. The New York Daily News says: "No review could really do justice to the monumental trashiness of this mess." The Hollywood Reporter adds: "There's a new movie in the running for the worst film of 2007." It will cap off a bad week for Li-Lo who is facing jail time after she was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, driving while suspended and possession of cocaine.
