Gone are the days of dodgy outfits for the Spice Girls as they gear up for a costume makeover by top fashion house Versace.

Fashion boss Donatella Versace has signed up to design the clothes for the reunion tour that will see Posh, Baby, Scary, Sporty and Ginger back on stage together again, looking more glamorous than ever.

Donatella reportedly thinks it's important that all of the girls retain their individual characters but in a less obvious way, meaning no more baby doll dresses, leopard skin prints or garish tracksuits for the group.

But one thing's for sure - all five girls will be donning figure-hugging, uber-gorgeous stage outfits worth over £200,000 when their tour hits the road.

Rehearsals for the the shows are due to start in LA in September, which only gives pregnant Emma Bunton a month to recover from having her very own baby Spice.

Meanwhile, the Spice Girls have added more dates to their forthcoming world tour after three million fans registered for tickets.

Extra gigs have been arranged for Shanghai, Vancouver and San Jose and they will play another concert in Anchorage or Zagreb, with the two cities competing in an online poll.
